Hmmm okay, i really haven't posted in a long time, didn't complete my ATC post :X and... a lot of events passed too. Like we had PSB camp, super fun! :D And.. just completed my one star kayaking course! :D :D
I was dreading the course lah! Shou Fong convinced me to go for it with Ruth, Ying Ying and her. I went for the BADGE! HAHAA. okay anyway, then when the time came, i was dreading it like CRAZY! But then now after it's over, i think it wasn't bad. I didn't get burnt as badly as i thought i would have. Erm.. actually, i'm not really that burnt at all. Very very slightly on my nose only i guess? The weather was kind of not sunny too anyway. In fact, it rained both days of the kayaking course. Only 4 NPCC people went lah -.- then the rest were from NCC. They're super nice! :D Girls super helpful, guys super gentlemen! HAHA.
We were split into 2 groups, different coaches took us. The 4 of us from NP were in the same group with most of the NCC boys. Our coach for first and 2nd day was different. First day was coach Leo or something. The one with the Elmo on his bag? yeah that guy. The elder coach said that the elmo was given to him cause he was the best student. haha don't know whether it's true. He took us for like capsize drill and stuff. I failed capsize drill terribly! 1st step supposed to be check surroundings and use paddle to check depth. 2nd step is to hug the kayak and rock a few times. 3rd capsize on the size of your paddle(paddle place on the water, hands hug over it). 4th step tap the hull(?) of your kayak 3 times. I forgot whether it's called the hull>< okay anyway, then 5th step is to straighten your legs in the kayak and come out on the side of the paddle. And then, swim to the bow of the kayak, lift up your paddle and shout for HELP! That's the capsize drill. I think i capsized too slowly and i didn't hug my kayak tight enough, so i didn't manage to tap 3 times and also i exited from the wrong side. So the coach told me i need to redo. But then like no time, so we didn't. Before i capsized, i was quite like scared, i didn't dare to do it. LOL then i kept asking the coach a lot of "what ifs" One of which was "will water enter your nose/ears?" Then he said "nono won't won't." Then after that he added "of course will lah!! but it's okay lah. after that will be alright already." He rocked the kayak for me and helped me turn it over lah, but it's quite bad cause i capsized too slowly, too much water went into one side of the kayak, so it was unbalanced then i can't get to the other side.
It started to pour halfway.. So we went to some sheltered dark carpark nearby to do some dry practice and played a game. LOL the game like test reaction and cooperation? HAHA super funny! Oh then before all these happened, we had to carry kayaks, 2 per pair, before we started our course. Took our Personal Floatation Device and our paddles, chose a kayak and coach linsen showed us how to embark and disembark from the pontoon(idk how to spell). Then we kayaked to one part of the kallang basin to raft up and listened to instructions before kayaking to some beach nearby. THERE WERE DEAD FISHES. yeah then.. had some confidence test whereby we had to swim a distance. Quite short but super gross! cause there was quite a lot of little on shore/near shore and the water was gross!! eew yuck. Yeah then i kept screaming while swimming! LOL. super gross lah! like water splash on your face and stuff. eew LOL but capsize drill will have water on face also. Yeah anyway, i can't remember what else happened! ><
We were released a lot earlier than expected. Like we got to wash up/ bathe at 130. Then left the place at 220, reached school slightly before 3.
Then today, we did the same, carried kayaks, took PFDs and our paddles, chose our kayaks. Then the coaches helped us launch from the pontoons. The coach placed my kayak on the left side of the pontoon which meant that i had to make a turn before i can get to the destination(same destination as the previous day) to raft up. I was like "WHAT THE! I NEED TO PADDLE EXTRA LEH!" Then the coach was like "yeah, haha you have to make a U-turn. okay go!" LOL... but i just went lah, not that tough. Then i rafted up with shoufong who was holding onto weini. Weini was holding onto the string of a floating ball. She kept complaining cause there was a lot of algae. HAHA super funny! then shoufong and i kept laughing at her. We kept thinking of ways to let her not hold it. LOL then Bon came to cut in between weini and the ball, so bon had to hold it! :D Then bryan came! And bon had to pass the thing to bryan for him to cut inbetween the ball and bon. Then they lost the string.. The coach was trying to give it back to them, like helping them bring it back but whatever he did didn't work so he just gave anyone he thinks the ball can go to to grab the thing. The ball came between me and this NCC guy. LOL then i didn't wanna hold it, so he held it instead ! :D
That coach at the water(who asked weini to hold that thing) was my group's coach for today. Took over coach Leo, i don't know why. Maybe Coach Leo really fell sick? HAHA i don't know, he said he thinks that he was falling sick. Anyway, this coach said he taught our seniors before but maybe they don't remember his name but they'd probably remember his face. He's Yi Hui(idk how to spell). Quite strict, fierce (will scold), but can joke. We found him a little like Qin Hui, but he scolds more. We chionged a lot of stuff from when we started till about 12. We did our half learnt stuff from yesterday(the J draw and classical draw where we only did dry practice in the carpark). Then we learnt how to do the rafted-TX thing to help save victims who capsized. Did another time of capsize drill also. The coach super mean! Like he kept rushing us and saying a lot of things. He used me, shoufong and ruth as examples for the rafted-TX thing. Ruth-victim, Shoufong-rescuer, I was the rescuer's assistant. At first i was complaining a lot about being assistant but then in the end i was happy. HAHA. Cause rescuer had to do a lot. Then victim have to assist a bit if the rescuer have like no strength to pull up the kayak or whatever. Then i see ruth go back on the kayak also like super hard so i was a bit shocked lah. Didn't know victim can be so hard to be. LOL.
Then we broke up into groups to practice this + capsize drill, but we went deeper in. Yingying, ruth, shoufong and i were in the same group. Since only 3 ppl could rescue so one person would be the spectator at one time. I didn't get to be the spectator. First i was the rescuer, yingying's my victim, ruth's my assistant and shoufong-bystander. :P Super pissing! I was super pissed during the rescue! Cause like i couldn't pull the kayak up. It dropped like more than 3 times and i had to keep redoing it. The coach was quite pissed cause like i had to keep redoing and he kept saying like i never do this never do that. But then it's cause i couldn't pull the kayak up lah! Then he said what "you have to give one hard tug! It's the momemtum!" Then he said what "if you continue like that and take so long, your whole group will fail! and when they fail, they will know who to find." Then i was super pissed with him at that time already. So i was like "WHATEVER LAH!" but i didn't say it duhh :X Then i pulled super duper hard to make super the kayak stayed. Then i did it! :D I should thank the coach for making me so pissed man! Then the rest of my rescue was fine cause yingying my victim did well in boarding the kayak xD
It was my turn to be victim. I was super scared cause i didn't dare to do the capsize drill! >< first time i rocked then i tried to turn over but i couldn't cause idk why also. Then the coach was saying it's cause i subconciously am putting my weight on the left side to balance out the kayak so i can't capsize... i was going to capsize on the right side by the way. I was still quite pissed at the coach lah. Then i capsized and did it well (i think?) haha everything was right! :D Then he told me "you can capsize what! who say you cannot! People work best under pressure.(cause he kept counting for me to capsize and told me that i have to capsize by myself, he was not going to help me)" Then anyway, i did it, my rescuer was ruth, her assistant's shoufong. She couldn't empty the kayak of it's water also, like can't pull it across, same problem as me, just that her kayak didn't keep slipping, it just jam there, pull then won't move. I tried to help her but then i also couldn't pull it even though i tried very hard. Then the coach kept asking me to use both hands, pull hard. Move my head below my hands and push my feet onto the assisstant's kayak so that i could help to bring the kayak over then water can empty out. Took quite long there also. But i boarded the kayak quite fast(i think) okay.. :D YAY! okay.. hmm then since ruth was victim near shore already, so last was shoufong's turn! I was assistant again.. Then ying ying was rescuer. I never got to be the spectator.. But anyway nvm. The coach gave us 3 minutes to rescue Shoufong only lah! cause we were the last group. And we succeeded :D Everything went well except helping the victim get into the kayak. That one we had to redo like once or something. Then the coach was telling ying ying "if you can't get the victim in the kayak within ___ seconds, you fail as a rescuer!" I forgot how many seconds he said lah. Then when we were done, we had to kayak to where the rest were to raft up. Then he told us that there was actually 10 seconds left from our 3 minutes. Which meant that we did it below 3 minutes! :D :D :D
Went to raft up with the rest. Then the coach told everyone but shoufong to raft up. Then he told shoufong to capsize cause he wanted to show us something. HAHA. she's super poorthing. Had to capsize like twice for the demo? I can't remember whether she capsized once or twice for this demo. Then he showed us how to rescue using the one person way(2 star kayaking) and also pointed out some common mistakes. After that we went up to shore and sat on the tar area above the shore to rest. Then the coach was talking to us and he asked us what time we were released yesterday. He said 130 was quite late.. haha. he came up with some conditions and told us that we had to clock a minimum time in the water so he was suggesting some things to do and some requirements like things we needed to do again. He was telling us some stories and funny stuff lah. Some stuff about kayaking also and what to take note of, and went through some skills like capsize drill again. He told us about his pet, python also. Don't know whether it's true also lah! i think it's fake? HAHA idk. Then he asked if we wanted to go sight seeing- to see the singapore flyer! :D HAHA. but then we were super beat. So like we said No.. but regretted after that cause i'd be quite cool to go there! :D awww, may not have another chance ): A coach taking another school was shouting towards the sea for his victim to stand up. Then our coach stood up. lol that reminded us of qinhui. Always purposely doing some stuff. Anyway, he said that we had to do the capsize drill again, like 10 people, buddy system, 5 people capsize at one time with buddy's help. The coach wanted it to be done within 5 minutes lor! So i paired with ShouFong. Then he used her as example AGAIN. HAHA. Made her capsize twice somemore! Poor her lah. After he demo on her 2 times, she had to do it again with me. poor thing man she. She kept forgetting to tap and always came out the wrong side. Then he said that even though he was pulling on to her hand, she kept wanting to come out the wrong side. HAHA. That was the first time, he said it was cause she's a zarbo. So don't dare to pull so hard. Then he made her do again, this time he made sure he pulled super hard and made her come out the right side. HAHA. She did it lah! :D
Then it was my turn to help shoufong. I was holding on to her hand then the coach was like "hold her other hand!" then keep asking me to hold her left/right hand(the one he thought i wasn't holding) but i actually was. But anyway, she capsized and did it! :D Then after the other pairs went then it was my turn. He said "good" haha so i suppose it was alright? with shoufong's help though, but i didn't really feel her hand. After i capsized and got up, i realised i forgot to remove my specs... HAHA. but luckily, it didn't drop. Then the coach was demenstrating to us some introductory stuff for a 1 star kayaker. Like the... i forgot what it's called, to counter tilting over. and the other one was to the something rudder. To change the direction while you're paddling one. He also showed us some kayak tricks like eskimo row :D He said he couldn't show us those like somersault cause he isn't using his own equipments so he's not used to it. oh well... Then he was explaining the rudder thing to us when the other coach came and told us he has to stop cause it's raining. So he stopped, then we brought ther kayaks further up the shore and walked to some shopping centre... haha. Our coach didn't follow though.. I think he had like some other class to conduct or something because when we came back, did more stuff, we saw him with another class when we were about to leave. The things we did included like practicing our J-draws and the whatever rudder and the over one to counter 'almost capsizing'. Then the older coach(idk what his name is) told us to only use J-draw on the right to move from our end of the raft to another. I was the 2nd person to do it and almost last few(like last 10?) to reach-.- I'm super bad at it >< Then that was about all for the kayaking today. Walked back to the kayak place from the beach where we parked our kayaks cause the other class coach yi hui was taking took over the kayaks i think?
Oh we left our kayaks at the beach the previous day and we don't know how they managed to bring it back to where the kayaks were kept.. haha. And the water stinks! ><
Ya, that's about all for the 1 star kayaking course i guess? :D I think i passed? Hopefully, most probably also (: Kayaking tricks seem cool! :D i wanna see them one day! My arms are hurting.. hope it won't get worse tomorrow! Anyway, BYE people! :D Kayaking was quite fun! Better than i expected but it would have been better if more squadmates came! ><

okay okay, i promised Ken and other squadmates to post so i shall keep to my promise although it's already late. :X hahaha. better late then never anyway. I just realised that i have never finished the ITC post (or have i?). haha. i better go check later and finish it if it's not done cause it's another post i promised Ken. HAHA. (since March). ><
Just realised i have a lot of undone stuff on the computer. Like i'm supposed to check the PSB email for emails once every few days but i have totally forgotten about doing so?! SORRY ZISIANG >< yeah and i haven't finished my homework, neither have i started studying for any of the upcoming tests which is not a good thing because... it's just not good lah.
Well, many events have passed, like ROD, ATC and all but i have never posted about them. :X too lazy. oh well, let me briefly talk about those events then. Lol must aim to finish this post soon.
ROD2009
As usual, it was held on the friday that is the national day that week. It was on the 080808 last year but this year i think it was the... okay fine i can't remember the date. I think it was the 070809(all the nice dates! :D) yup correct. Everyone was going out after national day celebration and we had to stay back for ROD ): If it's a happy event it'll be okay but it's not ): Anyway, we went out of school for lunch, i think it was a frangipani. Then went back to school at around 12 or 1 to rush the ROD presents. We're super last minute. Worst than last year. :X We were rushing our presents at Pei Hao's house last year till like 10pm or something. I left at near 8pm though :X This time, we were rushing our ICs photo frames till like past the deadline the seniors gave us to pass our presents to them. Sorry seniors! ><
We were rehearsing our song while doing the presents. LOL. We encountered loads of problems while doing the present. Like we were thinking of ways to cover the black paint so that when the frames were touched, they won't leave black stains on the hands of people or whatever. Then I was suggesting to them nail polish lah. So we called our 2B squadmates to get nail polish back for us since they were out. haha. Angela got chided by the stall tender cause they weren't supposed to try the nail polish. Lol she was testing the colour for us. Thanks angela! :D In the end, the frames didn't turn out nice cause we were bad at the nail polish. :X We even had to repaint Hui Min's frame cause it didn't turn out good. I think it was Hui Min's lah. The design of the frame was nice but the texture was...really bad. Erm anyway, we changed to our full-u then we ran down to pass the presents to the seniors. Arranged the presents, brought our bags down and then we confirmed stuff before falling in. We were going to have the Passing out Parade soon ):
Si Min was the IC in charge of our squad during the parade. It was so sad when she walked away and Matthew took over ): The new ICs gave us like 13 minutes to change from full u to nptee and track pants. We thought they were so nice. Lol. Then we had some time to rehearse our dance-circus! and our song- tonight!. After about... I don't know how long. haha. Like half an hour to 45 minutes later, we entered the hall already. The seniors said that ROD was going to start already. We were quite shocked lah cause it was quite early at that time. Like 4 plus or 5 only. The NCOs took super long to enter though. So like... it delayed everything. Anyway, we had performances lah. but before that, we lined up to get our food. The food was not very nice and the portion was like seriously little. And we paid $10 for it. LOL. First performance was by the NCO squad! :D I forgot the order of the stuff already though. But i liked the first dance by the NCO squad the best! Choreographed by NCO Jun Jie. The NCOs dances are on youtube. haha. But the second dance super hard to see cause of lighting and stuff.
At the very last part of the ROD, we had the gift presentations. We... forgot about the CIs. No one told us about the gifts for them. :X sorry! >< After the whole thing, we went out to the flagpole cause the ICs wanted to talk to us. Only Raymeo and WeeTeck were there. Si Min and Hui Min were in the NP room, idk doing what. I think they were trying to bring the gifts they made for us out. So meanwhile, Raymeo and Wee Teck were talking to us. Lol then Raymeo told us about what JunJie said about Kristine ^^ HAHA. tsktsktsk Kristine arh... LOL. okay then anyway, after that we started chasing Raymeo and WeeTeck around but lost Raymeo cause nobody knew where he went. Like he was gone very quickly. I think cause he ran super fast and it was too dark, we couldn't see him :X HAHA. So we caught weeteck after that. anyway, found out that raymeo was in the NP room. So everyone went there lah but we couldn't go in cause it's not allowed. So we waited outside while the NCOs brought all our gifts out. (: It consisted of a handmade paper bag(by huimin i think), 2 cards(one individually and the other was the same for everyone), a 'photoframe' thing with our name, a idk what it's called(the ghost thing, they say can hang on place/things if you unwind the string on the neck) and cookies. Ya i think that's it. The girls did the writing and the guys did the other stuff i think. But the handwriting on my card that was for the message for everyone seriously looked like a guy's handwriting! But nevermind. Not important.
Ya then they talked to us for a few minutes more and gave presents out meanwhile, then the seniors told us to go back to the hall to clear up. Then they chased us out of school cause it was late. Not as bad as last year though, we were literally chased out last year. Our ICs last year gave us presents too(last year's ROD)! It was a sock with sweets, paperclips, a medal, i forgot what else was inside. The sock had our names. haha. Erm ya then after that took bus with Seow Hwee and took train home.
ATC09
One of the most dreaded events. haha. It was after school on the Friday before teachers' day. We left music early cause we were allowed to and we needed to. haha. Si Heng had to rush his history graded assignment before going off. Super poorthing. Shou Fong and I went to change our bags with our mothers. haha. Then we went back to see how was siheng. We went to change and stuff then helped siheng hand up his assignment while he went to change. LOL then i fell down the stairs cause we were rushing and i almost sprained my ankle :X HAHA. I don't know what's wrong with me that day. Super rushed. I forgot a lot of things, like i forgot to take my ez-link card from my wallet and had to tell my mum to come back so that she could pass it to me. Then I forgot to change from school socks to the above ankle socks. And i forgot... idk a lot of things. :X
Took attendance and left for ubin. We got to changi jetty and were told to go and buy our dinner -.- At first they told us to bring instant noodles then now asked us to buy dinner. LOL i had 0 dollars with me. So i borrowed from those who broke camp rule and brought super lot of money. HAHA. Like seow hwee lah. =P haha yup then anyway, Felicia was scolding the ACS guys cause they bought away all her chicken rice. haha. But we found another stall anyway. Bought food then went back to the jetty there. Boarded a boat and left for Ubin. 3 days 2 nights at Ubin! ><
We had to hike to the Camp site lah! It was like a super duper long walk. Mr Chua kept telling us "reaching already. Just another bend." Ya we reached after 1000 bends lah. At first we thought we reached campsite. then the seniors told us "this is our camp site for STC, you all still have to walk another 2km." WE TOTALLY GOT A SHOCK. 2km!!! Haha but it wasn't so long lah. Like about 800m reach already. We put our bags to one side, dinner on a table in the canteen, took our tent pitching stuff and helped other schools pitch the tents(cause we were quite late). The grass was gross, super lot of insects. Then the ground was super soft. One of the pegs could go in with one hit. Obviously it wasn't stable so we repegged but it won't work. So we asked one of the CIs there. She's super nice!! Mam Wanling (: haha. Then she discovered that there was a hole where we were pegging. So she stomp on that part to make the soil on top fill up the quite big hole. So after that we pegged the peg in but it won't stay in. So she helped us reinforce it with another peg. Heard the guys' tentage area, the ground there was so hard that they could not peg in. haha. They said Yang Sheng or even, the CIs, couldn't peg it in. Had to hit super lot of times.
After tent pitching, we fall-ed in as a whole Area. Then we were told our camp group and tent number. Seow Hwee, idk why, from group 3 moved to group 1 with Ken, Chloe and Pei Hao. Super lucky, the group with most RV people. Michael and Zhang Ying were the only RV cadets that were the only ones in their group. I was with Freda! :DD

ROD was yesterday! (070809) ):
It was a sad, tiring yet fun day (: I miss the old ICs already... It felt bad when Sergeant Si Min walked away from our squad and our new IC took over. But can really tell that they do care for us.
I like the gifts the ICs gave us! :D ICs!! <3
hmmm okay i really want to go on posting, but there's no time. Have a whole long list of work to do! >< I shall post when i'm free (:

the last act this batch of ICs(s308) took us was 2 days ago ): And the school like banned us from CCA or something? They're afraid we still have the virus. So they made us have 2 extra lessons(math and history) after all our lessons. That 2 lessons were apparently useless. Math was just revision that was a little beneficial cause at least we get to clarify doubts or practice math. But history was like "making notes out of the notes mr chia gave us" according to Jojo. Super useless. Might as well release us at 2 and let us go home and study.
haha I was telling Raymeo that i got banned from cca. Then he was like "huh?! by who?!" then i said "school." Then he was like "ask them go and die lah." :X haha. I really wanted to go for CCA cause it's the last act? And like i really really like this batch of NCOs to the max! >< Then i told Raymeo the reason why we got banned and asked if i could go at 4. He said it's okay, he just mark my attendance as 0 so they won't know i didn't come. I didn't want my attendance to be marked 0 cause i never really got a 0 before? HAHA. But i went to look for them after the extra lessons :X
They said i miss the fun parts though and i think so too ): But nevertheless, i didn't regret going because it was quite fun too :D We did billibanja and we shouted "WE LOVE YOU, ICs" after making them shout "THANK YOU HOTSHOTS!" twice. Cause after they shouted the first time, Ken said "CANNOT HEAR." on purpose =P haha. Ken, Pei Hao and Xing Yao demonstrated their... made up drill command which was really hilarious. HAHA. Then after the ICs(si min and raymeo. weeteck came at the last part, i forgot what huimin went for) talked for awhile, then the last bersuright by them. ): Our 3 ICs present bersuright us together.
the time spent with the ICs seemed so short. I think it was because of the time we wasted not being able to accept them. ): We had only really start to accept them during like... February or March? I believe that the hotshots will treasure and remember the things that they have taught us, told us and talked to us about. The jokes we laughed about, the mistakes we commited and the things we learnt. Every single thing will be remembered(or hopefully, we'll try). Hotshots, let us do our best, live up to our ICs expectations. Work hard together to strive for the better. Excel in NP with the core values that Staff Raymeo had taught us. Discipline, Respect, Standard, Initiative and Unity.

Went to school yesterday (:
Initiated a class clean up! :D The back of the class looks neater now i supposed? then we went for PE lesson, cheated ourselves by taking out positions in netball and still playing. So it was like some game but not netball. I almost died playing it, shouldn't have played, but ohwell, had fun(: I think computer was the funniest lesson? Like we understood what Mr Wong was saying but we just didn't know how to do it. So like we were trying to figure out. Then he walked out of the comp lab for awhile, once he was out, the boys ran to his computer to see what was his actionscript. Then they were copying it. haha. Most of us went to take a look. Then the boys didn't want to have to keep running there and back to their computers so they wanted to save the flash document in a thumbdrive. LOL. but they couldn't cause it was all plugged with Mr Wong's stuff and they didn't want to plug it out. HAHA.
Most productive lesson was math though, always one of the lessons you learn something (:
Did some worksheets for chinese. 2B's teacher came to relief Mr Yeo. But didn't teach lah, just came and look after us. If not I think we would start cleaning up the class again. haha. But that's fun (:
Many of the 2C people didn't go for CCA but shoufong and I did. Wasted time there but i didn't really regret going in the end cause of the last few minutes that we talked to Sergeant Si Min! (: She's sooo funny lah! But then if we were to go there and fall out, might as well don't go because it's going to be a total waste of time, sit there and rot. >< Oh well, but since that was the NCOs 2nd last act, so be it. Last act's on Friday ):

i'm at home today, but i'll be going to school on thursday (:
hope at least wanzhen will be back (: & i don't want to have lessons in the SUN! >< LOL.

awww i'm so dead bored! ): I can't do anything because i like can't concentrate?! So like all i do now's eat, sleep and swallow those pills. I can't stand falling sick! & i have never eating so many pills in my life! I want to go back to school on Monday! But i don't think i'd be able to! Unless, somehow i can get well within today night and tomorrow. I have to fully recover before i am able to go back! I want to see the situation in class on monday.... Last Friday, I didn't not go to school-sick. And there, i was the 10th victim. Another 2 down on friday itself. As far as i know, the count goes to 15 people with 3 people falling sick today. And like almost half the class got quarantined?! I wasn't there on Friday but my informats kept me updated. haha. I didn't miss out much of what happened i hope? Some funny stuff though scary. Aiya, it's so hard to blog about this!
